Day 1

MARYLAND:

Today we head north through Virginia as you get to know your traveling companions. We travel to Maryland, just south of Delaware for our overnight stay.

Day 2

PHILADELPHIA CITY TOUR • LONGWOOD GARDENS • DINNER AT SHADY MAPLE • 2 NIGHTS LANCASTER:

This morning we travel to Philadelphia, one of the most historically significant cities in the US. We meet our guide to hear the history and see historical sights such as Independence Hall, The Betsy Ross House, The Rocky Statue, Washington Monument, City Hall, and the Liberty Bell. After lunch we visit Longwood Gardens, a premier display of botanical gardens which consists of 1077 acres including native and exotic plants, both indoors and outdoors. It’s almost dinner time and on our way to Lancaster we stop at Shady Maple Smorgasbord. Shady Maple features 200 feet of delicious Pennsylvania Dutch cooking. You will be amazed. Also, take time to visit their amazing gift shop. (D)

Day 3

AMISH COUNTRY TOUR • KITCHEN KETTLE VILLAGE OR BIRD IN HAND FARMERS MARKET • “NOAH” • DINNER:

Our adventures continue today, with a guided riding tour through the Amish countryside. Our local guide shares personal stories of the Amish community and gives us opportunities to shop for local handmade items and sample some local treats. Following lunch on your own, we stop at either Kitchen Kettle Village or Bird in Hand Farmers Market. You will be able to purchase homemade baked goods and local crafts & souvenir items. We take our seats at the Sight & Sound Theatre for the production of “Noah.” This landmark production takes us on board one of the world’s best-known voyages as live animals fill the stage and aisles. Set sail inside the enormous ark as this extraordinary story comes to life. Tonight we have another included meal at a local favorite restaurant. (D)
