Day 1

FLIGHT TO LONDON:

Today, we are greeted by our Christian Tours Tour Director and are transported to the Charlotte Douglas Airport for our overnight flight to London.
Day 2

LONDON, ENGLAND:

We arrive in London to begin and are transferred to our hotel. This afternoon you’ll have time to explore this exciting city. Rest up this evening as we begin our travels early in the morning.
Day 3

LONDON • AMSTERDAM:

Today we set off from London. Admire the famous White Cliffs as we approach Dover where we board a ferry for the short Channel crossing to Calais in France. We drive through Belgium’s Flanders fields into The Netherlands, renowned for tulips, clogs and windmills. Later we arrive in Amsterdam, one of Europe’s friendliest cities.
Day 4

COLOGNE • RHINELAND:

Crossing into Germany, we view Cologne Cathedral, the tallest Roman Catholic cathedral in the World. In Boppard, we embark on a scenic cruise down the River Rhine past terraced vineyards and towering castles. We overnight in the Rhineland. (B, D)
Day 5

OBERAMMERGAU • PASSION PLAY PERFORMANCE:

This morning we travel to the picturesque town of Oberammergau where the Passion Play will be performed. This afternoon we take our premium seats for this unique and moving performance. Dinner is at a local restaurant this evening before experiencing the captivating second half of this unique event. (B, D)
Day 6

INNSBRUCK • VENICE SIGHTSEEING:

Today we enjoy an exhilarating journey via Innsbruck through the Brenner Pass, one of the principal alpine highways, to Italy. In the Byzantine city of Venice, we cruise by private launch to St. Mark’s Square. We marvel at St. Mark’s Basilica and the ornate Doge’s Palace. We visit a traditional glassblowing workshop and see a demonstration by local craftsmen. You’ll have some free time to spend discovering the delights of Venice. (B)
Day 7

ROME:

Today we travel through the Italian countryside, the Veneto plain via Bologna and cross the dramatic Apennine Mountains into Tuscany. We continue through Umbria to Lazio and the capital, Rome, where we spend two nights. This evening take the opportunity to explore the city’s beautiful squares and fountains and perhaps savor the local cuisine at one of the many restaurants. (B)
Day 8

ROME SIGHTSEEING • FREE TIME:

We join a local guide for a wonderful sightseeing tour of Rome and learn of its rich history. Our visit to St. Peter’s Basilica, features magnificent works of art. Our tour continues across the Tiber to view the Colosseum and the ancient sites of Rome. Spend the rest of the day as you wish. Rome is full of wonderful sights, from the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican Museums to the incredible fountains in Piazza Navona. (B)
Day 9

FLORENCE:

We drive north through Umbria into the rolling countryside of Tuscany. Then we travel on to the Renaissance city of Florence where we enjoy spectacular views of the city from Piazzale Michelangelo. Afterwards you may want to explore the Piazza della Signoria, the Duomo and Giotto’s Bell Tower or shop for leather goods and 18-carat gold jewelry. (B, D)
Day 10

LUCERNE REGION:

We cross the Apennines to the great northern plain to the city of Milan. We continue north to the Swiss border and follow the scenic St. Gotthard route to Lake Lucerne in the heart of Switzerland. We spend two nights in this medieval city. (B)
Day 11

LUCERNE • FREE TIME:

Today we take in the sights of Lucerne during our morning tour. The tour includes views of the Chapel Bridge, the Jesuit Church and a visit to the Lion Monument, built to commemorate the Swiss Guards who died defending Louis XVI during the French Revolution. You’ll have free time for shopping for Swiss chocolate or more sightseeing. (B, D)
Day 12

PARIS:

Today we journey into France and pass the Vosges Mountains. We see vineyards as we travel through the great wine region of Burgundy on to the elegant capital, Paris. This evening we check in to our hotel for two nights. (B)
Day 13

PARIS CITY TOUR • FREE TIME:

Paris is a beautiful city, and probably has more familiar landmarks than any other capital in the world. We see most of them during the city tour with views of the Champs Élysées, Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower. Afterwards there is time for you to explore on your own. (B)
Day 14

PARIS • HOME:

Today we begin our journey home. We transfer to the Paris airport where we board the plane and travel back to the states. (B)
