Day 1

Upon our arrival we meet our guide and board our bus for our ride up to the Sea of Galilee and Tiberias. We overnight in Tiberias for three nights. (D)
Day 3

We begin on the Mount of Beatitudes considering Jesus’ teachings. We travel through Tabgha where Jesus fed the multitude with loaves and fishes. We go on to Capernaum to remember the miracles Jesus worked there. We then drive north to Caesarea Philippi where Peter confessed his recognition of Jesus as the Christ. We later visit the traditional baptismal site of Jesus on the western banks of the Jordan River in Israel. We sail across the Sea of Galilee in a wooden boat, modeled on the one discovered from the time of Jesus. (B, D)
Day 4

Today we travel to Nazareth and spend the morning getting acquainted with Jesus’ hometown including the Church of the Annunciation. While in Nazareth we shall also visit Nazareth Village, a replica of how the area would have looked in the time of Jesus with people in the dress of the times. From here we proceed to Cana, where Jesus performed his first sign, and then on to the Arbel cliff, overlooking the northern part of the Sea of Galilee. (B, D)
Day 5

We start our day with a visit to Ein Harod, and then to Beit Shean. From here we cross the Jezreel Plain to Megiddo, the Armageddon of Revelation, and continue our drive to Caesarea Maritima. Here we shall view the site of the ancient harbor on the beautiful Mediterranean Sea, as well as the hippodrome, aqueduct, and theatre. We travel up to Jerusalem and check in our hotel for a five night stay. (B, D)
Day 6

After a hilltop view of Bethlehem, we drive to one of the possible sites of the Shepherds’ Fields. We continue into Bethlehem, walking through the restored old town to the Church of the Nativity and visit the manger. We return to our Jerusalem hotel this evening. (B, D)
Day 7

In the early morning we drive through the Judean desert to Qumran. Here we view Cave #4, which contained the greatest quantity of the Dead Sea scrolls. We continue south to Masada and tour the remains of the southern palace of King Herod the Great. We take a break with a dip in the Dead Sea before we drive to Jericho, the world’s oldest city. We journey back up to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight. (B, D)
Day 8

We start our day on the Mount of Olives for a sightseeing tour of the city. We descend the traditional Palm Sunday Road to the Kidron Valley. We stop in the Garden of Gethsemane. We then ascend, as Jesus did, to the traditional site of the Temple Mount and view the Dome of the Rock and the al-Aqsa Mosque. We touch the famous “Wailing Wall” on the western side of the Temple Mount. We explore the Ophel excavations south of the Mount. After lunch, we proceed to the Upper Room on Mt. Zion, where we remember the Last Supper. We conclude the day at St. Peter in Gallicantu, possibly the site of Caiaphas’ house where Jesus was tried and kept overnight. (B, D)
Day 9

This morning we start quite early, walking the Via Dolorosa - the Way of the Cross - to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. We also will include a visit to the Garden Tomb and hold a communion service in this quiet and special place. We next travel to the Shrine of the Book, containing the Dead Sea Scrolls, and survey an amazing outdoor model of Jerusalem as the city may have looked in 66 AD.
