Day 1
FLIGHT TO PHOENIX • BALTIMORE ORIOLES
AT ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS:
We have a non stop
flight today to Phoenix, our destination. We check into
our hotel before heading to the game. This evening we
take our seats at Chase Field for the matchup between
the Orioles and the Diamondbacks.
Day 2
SAN DIEGO • OLD TOWN • TUNA HARBOR
PARK • SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS AT SAN DIEGO
PADRES:
This morning we head west to San Diego. Our
first stop will be at Old Town, the oldest settled area in
San Diego and the site of the first European settlement
in California. We drive along The Embarcadero for a
photo stop of the USS Midway. We will see one of the
waterfront landmarks, the “Kissing Statue” at the Port
of San Diego. The 25-foot statue, officially known as
“Unconditional Surrender”, recreates the famous
embrace between a sailor and a nurse celebrating the
end of World War II. Next we take our seats at Petco
Park as the Giants take on the home team, the Padres.
Day 3
LOS ANGELES • ATLANTA BRAVES AT LOS
ANGELES DODGERS:
This morning, we travel to Los
Angeles. Since 1962, Dodger Stadium has welcomed a
multitude of fans and enchanted them with its breathtaking
views and its storied past. The stadium has been
home to some of the greatest players in American sports
history. We take our seats for this mid-day game between
the home team Dodgers and the Atlanta Braves. After
the game we enjoy an included dinner together before
checking into our hotel for a two night stay. (D)
Day 4
LOS ANGELES CITY TOUR • FARMER'S
MARKET • BALTIMORE ORIOLES AT LA ANGELS:
This
morning, we begin our tour of the “City of Angels”. In the
heart of Hollywood, you'll recognize the familiar facade
of Grauman's Chinese Theatre. We'll make a brief stop
here to take pictures of the footprints, hand prints, and
autographs cast in the concrete outside the theatre's
doors. We'll have time for lunch and shopping at the
Farmer's Market. This historic market offers over 100
shops, restaurants and grocers. Anaheim Stadium has
been the home of the Angels since their move from Los
Angeles following the 1965 season. The stadium opened
April 9, 1966. We are in for a treat tonight as the Angels
take on the Orioles.
Day 5
RICHARD NIXON LIBRARY & MUSEUM •
OAKLAND, CALIFORNIA:
The Richard Nixon Presidential
Museum, was completely re-imagined and renovated in
2016 and houses more than 70 highly-visual exhibits that
take visitors through the life and career of America's 37th
President, including a full-sized recreation of President
Nixon's Oval Office and an original 12-foot high section of
the Berlin Wall. You can tour Nixon's original birthplace
and boyhood home, walk through the presidential
helicopter that flew four Presidents, take in the splendor
of the White House East Room, and pay respects at the
final resting places of President and Mrs. Nixon. A er
our visit we travel toward Oakland and San Francisco,
overnighting south of Oakland.
Day 6
OAKLAND • RING CENTRAL COLISEUM •
TORONTO BLUE JAYS AT OAKLAND A's:
This morning
we travel to Oakland and the Ring Central Coliseum
home of the Oakland Athletics. Our mid-day game is the
Oakland Athletics, battling the Toronto Blue Jays. After
the game we check into our hotel for a three night stay,
located near the San Francisco Bay. Tonight we enjoy
dinner together. (D)
Day 7
SAN FRANCISCO CITY TOUR • CABLE CAR
RIDE • ORACLE PARK – GIANTS STADIUM TOUR •
FISHERMAN'S WHARF:
San Francisco is the true capital
of the West. From the Bay Bridge and Treasure Island to
the far side of the Golden Gate Bridge, the most beautiful
bridge in the world, we see it all this morning on our city
tour. Tour highlights include Victorian homes, Golden
Gate Park, Civic Center area, Union Square, Alamo Square,
Lombard street view, Nob Hill, Chinatown, Coit Tower,
and the Presidio. We also experience a ride on a cable
car, unique to San Francisco!! This afternoon we begin
a Behind-The-Scenes Tour of Oracle Park- the home of
the three-time World Series Champions. Located in the
Mission Bay neighborhood of San Francisco, California,
it has been the home of the San Francisco Giants since
2000. Oracle Park is widely regarded as one of the
premier ballparks in all of baseball. On your tour you'll visit
The Field Warning Track, the Dugout, Visitors' Batting
Cage, Visitors' Clubhouse, Press Box, a Luxury Suite,
and view Club Level Memorabilia Display Cases and the
World Series Trophies & Rings. The remainder of the day
you'll have time to explore Fisherman's Wharf. Dinner is
included before we return to the hotel. (D)
Day 8
ROARING CAMP – BIG TREES • WINCHESTER
MYSTERY HOUSE • COLORADO ROCKIES AT SAN
FRANCISCO GIANTS:
This morning we travel to Santa
Cruz to board The Roaring Camp & Big Trees Narrow
Gauge Railroad. Travel over trestles, through towering
redwood groves and up a winding narrow-gauge grade to
the summit of Bear Mountain as conductors narrate the
history of Roaring Camp, the railroad, and the forest. In
the 1880s, narrow-gauge steam locomotives were used
to haul giant redwood logs out of the mountains. Roaring
Camp's steam engines date from 1890, and are among the
oldest and most authentically preserved narrow-gauge
steam engines providing regularly scheduled passenger
service in America. After our scenic train ride, we enjoy
an included lunch. The Winchester Mystery House is an
architectural wonder and historic landmark in San Jose.
We will tour this bazaar estate owned by the eccentric
Sarah Winchester. You'll see the infamous rooms of
Sarah's stately mansion, and see the bizarre attributes
that give the mysterious mansion its name. After our tour,
we make our way back to San Francisco and Oracle Park
as we take our seats to see the San Francisco Giants take
on the visiting Colorado Rockies. (L)
Day 9
FLIGHT HOME:
We fly home today reminiscing on
all we have experienced on this great baseball excursion.
Whether our favorite teams have won or lost, the trip
home is sure to bring a smile to our faces as we reflect
back on the iconic ballparks and locations we've visited
the last 7 days!
