Come discover Andy Griffith's hometown, Mt. Airy, NC, the inspiration for “Mayberry.” We'll embark on a guided tour which includes Floyd’s City Barber Shop, Andy’s boyhood home, granite buildings, the world’s largest open faced granite quarry, and replicas of Wally’s Service Station and the Mayberry Jail and Courthouse. We’ll also see the Andy and Opie statue plus a collection of memorabilia from The Andy Griffith Show at the Andy Griffith Museum. Lunch is included at Snappy Lunch, where on many occasions a young Andy Griffith would walk from school to have lunch.
