Day 1
FLIGHT TO ANCHORAGE • OVERNIGHT:
Your exciting
adventure begins with Christian Tours as we travel to the
Charlotte Douglas airport for our flight to Anchorage. Upon
arrival, we transfer to our hotel in Anchorage for the evening.
Day 2
NORWEGIAN JEWEL:
Enjoy a leisurely morning. This
afternoon we transfer to Seward to board Norwegian
Cruise Lines “Jewel”, our home for 7 nights, for our amazing
scenic Inside Passage Cruise. When it comes to entertainment,
the Jewel is filled with excitement: a large variety of dining
options with a variety of culinary delights to please every
palate, complimentary dining options include two main
dining rooms, a help-yourself buffet and a variety of casual
cafés, grills and on-the-go choices. After you board take
some time to meander around the ship. We’ll enjoy dinner
on board this evening.
Day 3
CRUISE HUBBARD GLACIER:
Get up close and personal
with the gigantic Hubbard Glacier, North America’s
largest tidewater glacier. It is 76 miles long, 7 miles wide, and
600 feet tall: 1350 square miles of blue ice and one of the
most active in Alaska.
Day 4
ICY STRAIT POINT:
Icy Strait Point is the ideal landing
spot for adventurers seeking a new experience. Breathtaking
and exciting, Icy Strait Point truly takes you where the
wild things are. It’s one of the few places in the world where
wildlife outnumbers the human population. An optional tour
here can certainly satisfy your taste for adventure.
Day 5
JUNEAU:
Juneau has been called “Alaska’s peak experience”
certainly due in part to its unparalleled glacier
viewing from such places as Tracy Arm Fjord, the Juneau
Icefields and Glacier Bay National Park. Kayak up one of the
area’s many protected waterways, go sightseeing, tour historic
downtown or try your hand at panning for gold. The majestic
Mendenhall Glacier lies nearly 12 miles outside Juneau, a
trek worthwhile.
Day 6
SKAGWAY:
In a single year from 1896 to 1897 this remote
town along the Inside Passage grew from a few tents to
a city of 20,000 gold seekers. Today, travelers come in search
of other riches – to experience yesteryear along Skagway’s
charming boardwalk lined with buildings that replicate those
Gold Rush days, like saloons and dance-hall revues. You
might choose to take the optional scenic 40-mile ride on the
White Pass Scenic Railway that served the Gold Rush to the
Klondike in 1898.
Day 7
KETCHIKAN:
It’s Tlingit Indian name, Kach Khanna, means
“spread wings of the eagle.” Chances are we’ll see one
of these magnificent birds perched atop a Sitka tree. Thanks
to its abundant rainfall, Ketchikan is surrounded by some
of the world’s most lush wilderness evidenced by 2.2 million
acres of the Misty Fjords National Monument. Ketchikan is
also known as the “salmon capital of the world.” Here, we
can see the world’s largest collection of totem poles!
Day 8
INSIDE PASSAGE:
The Inside Passage will dazzle you
with spectacular views every step of the way. Dramatic
snow capped mountains, calving glaciers, temperate rainforests,
and small towns seamlessly meld together on this cruise.
Take advantage of the amenities on-board exploring all the
Norwegian Jewel has to offer!
Day 9
VANCOUVER •
HOME:
Our ship
docks in Vancouver
early this morning.
You are transferred
to the airport for
your flight back
home.
