Day 1
FLIGHT TO MIAMI • SET SAIL:
Discover the Panama
Canal and splash around the Caribbean on this exotic
sailing adventure. We transfer to the Charlotte airport for
our flight to Miami and then set sail aboard Norwegian’s
Gem. And what a gem she is! With 15 decks, filled with a
world-class spa, glittering shops, numerous dining choices
and entertainment beyond our dreams, this Jewel-class
ocean liner is a sparkling gem in Norwegian’s fleet.
Day 2
AT SEA:
Snuggle down and sleep late or get up early to
watch the sun rise over the ocean. Relax on the deck or
unwind at the spa. Gaze into the gorgeous, blue-green water
of the Caribbean as we sail towards Grand Cayman Island.
Day 3
GEORGETOWN, GRAND CAYMAN:
We arrive at Georgetown
this morning, the capital of the largest of the Cayman
Islands. Famous for its Seven Mile Beach, the popular Stingray
City, and its vibrant coral reefs, you can explore on foot, bike
or car and enjoy the excitement of this major cruise-ship
port. It’s your day!
Day 4
AT SEA:
Sailing south across the Caribbean, with
Jamaica port side (our left) and Honduras starboard
(our right), we head towards the continent of South America
and the city of Cartagena Colombia.
Day 5
CARTAGENA, COLOMBIA:
The old walled city of Cartagena
reflects a turbulent history of conquistadors and
pirates. Climb “las murallas” for an unforgettable view of
the harbor. Shop for emeralds and leather goods along the
cobblestone streets of this enchanting city. Snap photos
of the picturesque squares and colorful colonial buildings.
Or simply sit and enjoy the tropical climate of this popular
beach destination.
Day 6
PANAMA CANAL • COLÓN:
Today you may wish to book
an optional overland journey on our partial transit of
the Panama Canal. Once we arrive at Gatun Lake, booked
shore excursion guests can disembark for an unforgettable
adventure that not only promises beautiful scenery and
wonderful photo ops, but an exciting jaunt to Colón, where
guests will resume their cruise back aboard the ship.
Please note, only booked shore excursion guests can
disembark at Gatun Lake. Everyone is welcome to explore
at our next port-of-call in Colón. As we arrive in the Caribbean
seaport of Colón, grab a good spot on deck to take in the
view of the Atlantic Ocean entrance to
the Panama Canal. What a picture it is!
Born from a desire to reach California
as fast as possible during the Gold Rush,
this industrious town was the last stop
on the 19th century Panama Railroad.
It’s now home to Canal Zones and much
beauty.
Day 7
PUERTO LIMÓN, COSTA RICA:
Ever
seen a sloth? Puerto Limón is the
place for it. Pay close attention when
you dock as many guests have reported
seeing peaceful sloths lumbering in the
trees right in port! Limón is also known
for its multi-cultural community, festive annual carnival
celebration and a must-see stop for eco-friendly tourists.
The region’s unique geography and neo-tropical climate
combined with abundant rainforests make for one of the
most naturally diverse “biospheres” in the world.
Day 8

We have sailed all around the Caribbean, and
now we continue make our way north to Belize, passing
Nicaragua and Honduras port side of the ship (our left). Relax
and enjoy the sunshine. Our adventure is not over yet!!

Norwegian’s private island, we are presented with so
many options to fill our day. With diverse ecology consisting
