Day 1

OGLEBAY RESORT - 2 NIGHTS:

Today we begin our magical Festival of Lights tour. We travel through West Virginia to the beautifully landscaped Oglebay Resort. This 270 room lodge situated on 1700 acres features an indoor pool, fitness center, specialty shops, and much more. After we arrive and check in for a two night stay, you’ll have time to venture around the resort before enjoy a delicious buffet dinner in the dining room. (D)

Day 2

GLASS MUSEUM • MANSION MUSEUM • CHRISTMAS DINNER SHOW • FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS:

Today enjoy a leisurely buffet breakfast before we start our adventure. Our first stop is at the Carriage House Glass Museum, where you can see the largest piece of cut lead crystal ever made, and over 3000 examples of Wheeling glass made from 1829-1939. We’ll have time for shopping at the Hilltop Shops and lunch on-your-own. This afternoon we tour the Mansion Museum, featuring 13 period rooms focusing on Wheeling’s earliest settlement. Before returning to the Resort we stop at the Holiday Market. Afterwards, take time to relax and enjoy the resort. By early evening we take our seats for a Christmas themed musical dinner show in the Glessner Auditorium. We end our day as we board our coach for a guided tour of the Winter Festival of Lights, with more than a millions lights decorating the grounds at Oglebay. (B, D)

Day 3

MOSSER GLASS • NATIONAL ROAD & ZANE GREY MUSEUM • HARTSTONE POTTERY • CONSERVATORY AGLOW:

After another delicious buffet breakfast we travel to Cambridge for a visit to Mosser Glass Factory for a guided tour of the facility and see talented craftsmen at work. We move on to the National Road & Zane Grey Museum. It includes three exhibits, one “The Main Street of America”, second, Zane Grey, “The Father of the Adult Western,” and the final a collection of art and pottery. After our included lunch, we stop at Hartstone Pottery for a factory tour and shopping. We then travel to Columbus where we check into our hotel. The Franklin Conservatory Aglow, is truly amazing featuring the indoor Conservatory decorated with lights and the outdoor experience is magical with thousands of lights presented in stunning displays. What a great way to end this Christmas Holiday tour. (B, L)

Day 4

HOME:

We travel home today with the beautiful Christmas sights we’ve experienced and have captured in our minds. What a great time to talk to your new friends before you arrive back home.
