Day 1

TRAVEL TO MARYLAND:

Beautiful. Spectacular. Just two of the adjectives used to describe the highlight of our trip, Philadelphia’s Flower Show, which holds the title as the nation’s largest and longest-running horticultural event and features stunning displays by the world’s premier floral and landscape designers. Filled with multiple gardens and stunning sights, we begin this amazing trip with our first overnight in Maryland.
Day 2

PHILADELPHIA CITY TOUR • PHILADELPHIA FLOWER SHOW • DINNER:

With a short ride, we arrive in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania’s largest city, for a guided tour, stopping to see iconic places like the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Christ Church, and other American Revolutionary sites. We spend the rest of the day at the Flower Show exploring more than 20 gardens and acres of unmatched floral, garden, and landscape displays plus competitive entries of unique plants and artistic pieces. See live demonstrations and get tips and ideas from gardening experts. Enjoy great shopping, live music, and roaming entertainers. Later this evening we enjoy an included dinner. (D)
Day 3

UNITED STATES BOTANIC GARDEN • SIGHTSEEING IN DC • DINNER:

This morning we travel into Washington DC for a day of exploring! Located on the ground of the Capitol, the US Botanic Gardens is our first stop. Any time of year, we can see something beautiful in bloom at the gardens but visiting during the Spring provides a wealth of overwhelming beauty. From roses to orchids, rare and endangered plants to the latest in-home garden plants, we find a world of environments in the exhibits and indoor and outdoor gardens. We have lunch on our own then explore some of DC’s memorials and monuments. Grab your camera and snap some photos on our riding tour of our nation’s capital. We are treated to another included dinner tonight. (D)
Day 4

LEWIS GINTER BOTANICAL GARDENS • HOME:

One of the top botanical gardens in the US, Lewis Ginter offers yearround beauty on a historic property with more than 50 acres of spectacular gardens and a classical domed Conservatory which is the only one of its kind in the mid-Atlantic. More than a dozen themed gardens including a Children’s Garden, Rose Garden, Asian Valley, and Cherry Tree Walk stretch along pathways that bring delight at every turn. Lunch is included at the Garden Cafe. What a beautiful, and memorable, trip this has been! (L)
