Day 1

KENTUCKY • KENTUCKY ARTISAN CENTER:

Join us as we travel to Ohio to board the BB Riverboat celebrating a 50-year tradition of steamboat racing while cruising from Cincinnati to Louisville, Kentucky on the Ohio River. En route we stop in Berea at the Kentucky Artisan Center which features the work of over 800 Kentucky artisans creating every category of modern and traditional crafts, and specialty foods. We check into our hotel for the evening. Tomorrow we begin our River-Hop enjoying beautiful scenery while enjoying delicious meals, entertainment and top-notch service sailing between quaint river towns.

Day 2

BB RIVERBOAT RIVERHOP • OHIO RIVER:

We begin our journey in Newport on the beautiful Belle of Cincinnati, a lovely paddle wheeler featuring Victorian décor, two enclosed decks and an open-air top deck perfect for sightseeing. Our full day on the Ohio River features a historical lecture on the origins of the steamboat era in the 1800’s by a direct descendant of one of the greatest Steamboat families on the river system, the Streckfus Family. We continue with food, fun, crafts, and song, before traveling through the Markland Lock and Dam - an up-close look at how our inland waterways operate. A full breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffet are included. We dock for the night in Vevay, IN, and overnight at the lavish Belterra Casino. (B, L, D)

Day 3

BB RIVERBOAT RIVERHOP • LOUISVILLE KY • DERBY DINNER PLAYHOUSE:

After breakfast at the hotel, we begin our second day on the river featuring more food, fun, crafts, and history as we cruise into the beautiful Waterfront Park in downtown Louisville, KY. This afternoon we check in to the Hampton Inn Downtown before heading to dinner and the show “Singing in the Rain” at the famed Derby Dinner Playhouse. (B, L, D)

Day 4

LOUISVILLE • GREAT STEAMBOAT RACE:

After breakfast at the hotel, we will visit one of Louisville’s great attractions, with lunch included along the way. The much-anticipated, grand finale, the Great Steamboat Race, awaits back aboard the Belle of Cincinnati as we race the legendary Belle of Louisville, complete with a delicious dinner, and all the “Riverboat Shenanigans” you can handle as you help cheer us to the finish line! There is only one rule in a riverboat race: “There are no rules!” As one of the original and longest standing traditions of the Kentucky Derby Festival, the Great Steamboat Race has been taking place on the Ohio River since 1963 and has become a Louisville Derby tradition! The event pits vessels against each other as they compete for bragging rights in this race on the river. The Belle of Cincinnati – OUR ship – won the coveted Silver Antlers in 2024. Let’s see if we can win again! (B, L, D)

Day 5

BUCEES • HOME:

Our River-Hop adventure comes to an end. On our way home, we stop by the South’s most popular rest stop, Bucees! Take a break, grab some snacks and start planning your next big trip.
